SUMMARY
I have been working at a healthcare administration consulting firm as an assistant to business development executives. My work included compiling research on the personal injury industry, contacting law firms and primary care physicians, and creating strategies to expand our client base. One of my projects was doing a complete re-design of MSO’s website, which would function as an online brochure sent to potential clients (health plans and doctors) in California, Texas and Arizona. It was a fun challenge to take the complexities of MSO’s healthcare services and explain it in a concise, understandable manner in a business to business setting. I wrote all the copy and designed the layout. Here is a link to the new site.

MY GOAL WAS TO CREATE A BEAUTIFUL WEBSITE THAT WAS INFORMATIVE, SIMPLE, AND concise.
Knowing that the primary audience are doctors and health plan executives with little time to waste, I wanted the first page of MSO’s website to quickly communicate their purpose and services. The audience is focused on how MSO can improve their operations and strategy in order to provide better care to their patients and maximize profit. Thus, I positioned MSO as an experienced advisor that deeply cares about the performance of their clients. The tagline “our success is your success” and the following paragraph communicates MSO’s core ideology. The collection of logos from current clients provides the viewer with context of MSO’s work.
INSTEAD OF SIMPLY STATING, I WANTED MSO TO DEMONSTRATE HOW THEY PERFORM THEIR SERVICES
It was important for the website to be detailed and specific about how MSO works with their clients. It is not enough to simply state that they performed “medical management.” Rather, I wanted their Services Page to list clear action steps and provide case studies that displayed past success through numbers and examples. I wanted doctors and health plans to envision a clear picture of what exactly the MSO package would provide them.
The About Page explain’s MSO’ primary value proposition: personalized and detailed consulting from a tested staff through a wide range of services. In addition, it provides some history and a detailed profile of its CEO along with her experience and past projects. Doctors and health plans will know that MSO is led by someone who will see through the success of their business.
A New Look
I contacted Maddie Lum, the graphic designer who created the concert posters found in the Bloom Page, to create MSO a new logo. We worked together to create a recognizable, but simple icon that communicated MSO’s vital position in the health care industry.
